I have always been interested in people’s journeys – whether personal, professional or international. It is perhaps therefore no surprise that I came to discover the field of coaching and intercultural training about ten years ago. Since that time, I have had the privilege of working with numerous multinational companies and hundreds of individuals and expatriates from every continent.
My motivation has always been people – genuinely connecting with them and finding the best way to support them and fast-track their progress, aims or integration into a new job or country.
When I set up Barton Insights, I knew that I wanted to keep that personal feel and level of service – focusing on quality relationships rather than volume and recognising that every client comes in search of a different solution and with a different set of circumstances. I wanted our training or coaching interactions to be memorable and for our clients to look back and recognise that the insights or support they gained were truly significant to them at that juncture. Certainly anyone who is part of the Barton Insights team has a people-centric approach, which also drives a high service level – they care about the people they engage with and clients frequently comment that we seem to love our jobs. We do!
I am also passionate about coaching – not only in its pure form, but as an essential tool to enhance learning generally and, in particular, to support expatriates on international assignments. Not only sharing country expertise, but actually using the skills of a qualified coach to develop self/other-awareness and to find solutions to manage the transition more effectively. In fact, all of our training is infused with coaching and I am especially proud of our Expatriate Transition Training, created to address the personal, professional and family transition wherever someone is relocating from or to.
Our solutions are flexible and customised. From convenient and affordable virtual Skype sessions that you can book here online right now to bespoke group training or one-to-one VIP programmes for an expatriate family in person. Whether it’s a session or two via Skype for you as an individual, a longer-term coaching engagement in person or putting a company expatriate programme in place, let us know how we can help.
We invite you to learn more, welcome questions and look forward to hearing from you.
